Home at Last!

Our first day in our new church home was a day of thanksgiving, praise, fellowship … and so many emotions! We were delighted to be together under one roof … and joined by family, friends, and community members for Sunday School and worship.

Britt Smith Teaches Our First Sunday School in the New Building

It made us so happy to see our congregation filling these pews! Truly, this was an historic day … and everyone there was part of this historic event!

Pastors Rev. Dr. Dan Darling and Rev. Marta Bolen processing in the sanctuary.

Even with at least eleven of our regular members on the road for the holiday, we still had 47 members, family, and friends in the sanctuary for the worship hour. The positive energy, music, and sermon had everyone smiling!

Joe Davis, Britt Smith, and Jennie Davis were among the 47 on hand for our first service in our new location.

We feel so blessed to be welcomed and given a home by the Glenfield UMC … to be part of the vibrant Hispanic community mission “La Mision” … and to be working to make sure our home town will always have a church where everyone is truly welcome. Our future is bright!
